Training. AFI is one of the most well-known IPAF-approved training companies in the UK. They provide training through their UTN Training brand, which operates countrywide from either your own premises* or their huge network of depots around the UK. When you choose UTN as your training provider, you can be certain that they will be able to provide a course that meets your needs. After completing an IPAF training, you will be given a PAL (Powered Access Licence) card as well as an IPAF operator’s logbook to keep track of the equipment you use. Your PAL card is valid for five years and provides rapid identification of your identity as well as the IPAF categories in which you are qualified.
Operator Training. This course combines theory and practice to teach operators how to manoeuvre, drive, and position the machine safely and effectively. On scissor lifts, booms, or trailer-mounted platforms, it can be done.
MEWPS for Managers Training. This one-day training session will teach supervisors and managers how to plan for and properly coordinate the use of various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) under their supervision.
MEWP Harness Training. The course, which covers a variety of MEWPS, examines the identification of appropriate protective equipment and its application, as well as the proper condition and fitting of the harness. It may, however, be modified to provide applicants with accomplishment testing on certain computers – just be sure to specify your needs when making your reservation.
Push Around Vertical Training. This course, which combines theory and practice, is meant to teach operators how to manoeuvre and position the machine safely and effectively. That’s possible to do it on Push Around Verticals.
Demonstrator. This workshop is designed to give delegates the knowledge and training they need to get familiar with mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPS).
PAL Plus. The training is designed for IPAF operators who operate in high-risk or difficult conditions, such as steelwork, tight overhead spaces, or difficult terrain. Operators who already have a PAL Card qualification in the applicable category are eligible for PAL+ training.
