Services Offered By Marshall & Court

Marshall & Court provides several solutions at Marshall & McCourt to fulfil your home’s heating and renewable energy needs. Using our unique solutions, you can make your property more sustainable and efficient.

Air Source Heat Pumps

  • An air-source heat pump is installed on the property’s side or back. It collects heat from the air and distributes it throughout the building. Air source heat pumps require power to operate, but because they collect heat from the environment, the heat output is more than three times that of the electrical input, making it a low-carbon, energy-efficient heating choice.

Biomass Boilers

  • Biomass boilers use sustainable energy sources such as wood, plants, and other organic materials to generate heat. This waste links to your central heating and hot water system to heat your home. If you presently heat your house with traditional heating methods, switching to a biomass boiler can save up to 40% on your annual heating expenditures.
  • Because biomass boilers are often larger than conventional boilers and require more room to store fuel, they are suggested for persons who live in rural locations. By switching to biomass, you may lessen your dependency on energy providers while also lowering your carbon impact by heating your house with carbon-neutral resources.

Gas Boilers

  • Gas boilers are a cost-effective and efficient way to heat your house. At Marshall & McCourt, we have a wide range of gas boilers. Multiple people may use hot water simultaneously with a gas boiler, and you can utilise smart controls with your gas boiler to save money by only using hot water and heating when you need it.

Oil Boilers

  • An oil-fired boiler warms the water, which is then distributed to radiators throughout your home to provide central heating. Oil central heating differs from central gas heating in that it is transported and stored in a tank. Oil boilers can be installed inside or outside, giving you more installation options. Oil boilers are typically floor standing and exist in both combination and ordinary models.
  • Oil boilers are an extremely effective way to heat your house; some contemporary boilers may save you up to 90% of your energy, so you might get a significant return on your investment. Oil boilers are commonly used in rural areas with no access to a mains gas supply.

Solar PV Panels

  • Solar PV (photovoltaic) panels are installed on your home’s roof to gather solar energy, which is then turned into electricity for use in your home. Solar PV panels do not require direct sunshine to generate power; they can operate even on gloomy days, and the UK’s colder temperatures keep the PV panels from overheating.

Underfloor Heating

  • Installing underfloor heating with Marshall & McCourt will transform your house into a warm, inviting space. To keep you warm, underfloor heating distributes heat evenly across the space.
  • This technology frees up space in your house by eliminating the need for radiators, enabling you to completely customise and design your area. Because underfloor heating can heat a bigger area than a single radiator, it can help you save money on heating. Another advantage of underfloor heating is that you have complete room-by-room management, ensuring that every section of your home is heated only when necessary and at your preferred temperature.

Battery Storage

  • Home battery storage is a fast-developing technology that allows excess energy generated by solar panels during the day to be saved in a battery pack and used later in the evening. Battery storage packs are sleek, contemporary additions to the home that take up minimal room while providing extra energy.
  • Battery storage devices are becoming increasingly popular among homeowners who are committed to environmental sustainability. With a sophisticated battery storage system, you can take advantage of your green energy output while also increasing your independence from the national grid.

EV Car Charging

  • Homeowners are becoming increasingly interested in electric vehicles. Installing an EV charging point has a number of advantages, including significantly lowering your carbon footprint, never having to worry about running out of battery again, and saving money by charging overnight with a home charging point, which allows you to take advantage of cheaper night time electricity rates.

Plumbing

  • Marshall & McCourt can handle all of your plumbing needs, whether you want to remodel your bathroom or fix leaky taps and blocked drains.
  • To improve the performance of current gravity systems and offer better hot water for showers and baths, we may add pressurised, unvented hot water tanks.
  • Not only do we have expertise in installing bathrooms and wet rooms, but we also do repairs. Plumbing repairs may be included in our pay-as-you-go maintenance care packages, so you’re never caught off guard!

Smart Controls

  • Smart controls are technologies that are put alongside your boilers to provide you with unparalleled heating control. Set your heating and hot water schedules according to your needs to save electricity.
  • We’re thrilled to have teamed up with Loxone, the smart automation technology specialists, to bring you the Smart Controls system, which will help you save energy and money in your house.
  • When smart controls are combined with a mobile app, you will be able to control your heating from your phone while on the road. Change the current temperature and schedule, if needed, and turn on the hot water. Control your lights, have your music follow you as you move between rooms, adjust your blinds and shutters, turn off appliances automatically, and keep your home tidy.

Solar Thermal Panels

  • Solar thermal panels are roof-mounted collectors that gather heat from the sun and utilise it to heat water for usage throughout your house. By aiding in the fulfilment of your hot water requirements using a fully free, renewable energy source, solar thermal panels help you minimise your carbon footprint and save money on your monthly bills.
  • There are several financing alternatives available to assist you with installing solar thermal panels. The Green Homes Grant can provide vouchers to help with installation costs. The Renewable Heat Incentive can provide you with an income from the renewable energy you generate, paid quarterly over seven years.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Internally, a ground source heat pump links to a network of exterior pipe collectors that take heat from the ground. This is used to heat and cool your house. Ground source heat pumps are a low-carbon, energy-efficient solution since the quantity of energy generated is more than four times the amount of power required. Ground source heat pumps give stable high efficiency all year since the ground remains at a constant temperature.

There are various financial incentives available to encourage you to install a ground source heat pump. The Green Homes Grant can offer you vouchers to help with installation costs. The Renewable Heat Incentive can pay you with a quarterly income from the renewable energy you create over seven years.

Ground source heat pumps may be a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to heat your house. When it comes to ground source heat pumps, Marshall & McCourt provides skilled advice and simple installation.

Excellent customer-focussed service from Marshall and McCourt, as always. The work was to replace an old electric shower. Helpful visit prior to the work being carried out, to agree the best option. Installation carried out promptly and to a very high standard. Thank you to Lauren in the office and to Keith who did the installation. – Philip Kirby

Fantastic service. I left a message late one evening on their enquiry form and an engineer was with us the following day before lunch. Polite and knowledgeable and fixed the problem. Not easy to find an underfloor heating engineer. But this company is great and we will be using them going forward. – Patricia Phillips

After been left without gas following a smart meter install by British Gas, Marshall & McCourt responded to my weekend email enquiry before 8am the following Monday and had an engineer out to me within the hour of that reply. The engineer was thorough, courteous and got me back up and running within and hour and 30 mins. Im really impressed how a stressful situation was resolved so quickly and efficiently by Marshall & McCourt. Thank you! – Katy Davies

Marshall and McCourt installed our new air source pump, with associated hot water tank and control systems and completely new radiators and pipework in 4 days. The customer service throughout the evaluation process as well as the installation was first class, with someone always available to answer any questions and a phone system that always gets answered without long holds (very unusual nowadays). This is a big investment for any household and the practical expertise of the individuals involved in deciding the precise configuration suitable for our house gave us great confidence that if we went ahead, it would indeed work for a house that by its very nature (solid single brick walls etc) suffers from fairly high heat losses. After one day of running in very cold windy weather we knew that.
we were not going to struggle with keeping our house and water supply hot enough. The team provided for the actual installation worked to a high standard, were very easy to get on with and cleaned up immediately after every piece of work to ensure disruption was kept to a minimum. They also responded immediately to a few minor questions that I had after the first few days of running. To complete the customer service Marshall and McCourt even take you through the entire RHI grant application process to ensure there are no problems with this last vital step. The coordination between all parts of the team from sales to engineering, reception, payments and accounts and installers was excellent throughout and I would not hesitate to recommend Marshall and McCourt to anyone considering this type of project. – Stephen Lyons
