Middleham Park Racing Overview

Founded in 1995 by Tim Palin, Middleham Park Racing is a family-run business and boasts 25 years of successful racehorse syndicates.

In 2019 alone, they had 93 wins – earning the club and its members a staggering £1.3m of prize money and over £1.5m of bloodstock sales!

This year, in 2020, they also had 46 groups and listed winners.

They are an official charity partner of Racing Welfare and are an active member of the RSA (Racehorse Syndicate Association) – meaning that this syndicate ensures the welfare and safety of all its horses, staff, and members alike.

Services Offered By Middleham Park Racing

Middleham Park Racing offers its syndicate members the following fantastic services:

  • Offering its members racehorse syndicates with high-quality bloodstock
  • Allowing all horseracing enthusiasts to experience racehorse ownership
  • A limited number of people per syndicate (16 on average)
  • Assistance with horse share insurance (should owners require it)
  • Direct contact with the manager of your horse if you want to share any insight
  • Members get an Owner’s Badge when they own or lease a share.
  • Syndicate members also have the option to bring friends or family to racing days so they can see and experience everything together.

At Middleham Park, they specialize in providing new members with an authentic horse racing ownership experience and pride themselves on serving people with the top class bloodstock, but they advise seeing racehorse ownership as an opportunity to be enjoyed – and not about winning, or looking for an investment.

Middleham Park Racing Cost

At Middleham Park, if you are a new member, there is an upfront cost that covers the price of the horse, sales house and agents commission, transportation to the trainer, the breaking in of the horse, and the training fees.

The upfront cost covers the contract for either the year (flat horses) or 18 months (national hunt horses).

This upfront fee, however, does not cover the ‘sales race’ or any entries before the start of the monthly payments.

Once the year or 18 months is done, an owner can then cancel a month in advance.
