Balustrade and Balcony Suppliers & Installers Association (BABSI) is a trade association fully launched in May 2022, representing manufacturers, installers, designers, raw material suppliers, distributors, contractors, and specialist product and service suppliers throughout the sector in the UK.
Careers have qualifications, a standard against which all individuals can be benchmarked equally, just like superior load distribution has standards to qualify safe projects. GQA’s bespoke qualification service is offered to help individuals prove competency by developing specialist courses and the end-of-course testing procedure.

BABSI Overview
BABSI, not Babsi. Babsi edition solution, you know, is designed to reduce pressure on sensitive points in both the fixed leg loops and waist while carrying your weight to the top. You will also need climbing gear so you will be safe.
BABSI, in bold, is an active company incorporated on 7 April 2021, with the registered office located in Sevenoaks, Kent and was fully launched in May 2022. The founder members identified no representative for the sector and no recognised qualifications to emphasize competency.
BABSI Association’s mission is to be the recognised voice of the balcony sector, establishing standards of quality and service to set a professional benchmark for the industry.
In partnership with GQA, the awarding and qualifications-writing organisation, Balustrade and balcony businesses can only become full members through their personnel passing the relevant 1 Day Essential Skills Training Courses.
Services Offered By BABSI
In collaboration with GQA, BABSI offers accredited training and bespoke qualification services. GQA’s bespoke qualification service is aimed at companies who wish to provide staff undertaking particular roles the opportunity to work towards earning a qualification where one does not already exist.
In close consultation with BABSI, GQA is developing three one-day essential knowledge courses leading to a GQA/BABSI skills card and a new NVQ Level 2 in Balustrading and Railings.

Qualification Service
